Default heater fan on then off

My heater fan after i turn it on it goes off then on. There's a sound under the glove box, like its shorting out. Is there a control unit for the fan under there? I'm having a hard time bleeding my cooling system. Any help? THANKS

Rowell,
I had the same problem with my fan. I have a thread a few pages back that says A/C help. The fan controlls both the a/c and heater and is actually called the heater fan in the manual. anyways, Palmetto Disco describes how to locate the problem and bypass the falty wiring in the main wiring harness under the hood if that is the problem or located the problem in the fuse box under the passanger side compartment if that is the problem and by pass it. It was very helpful and solved my problem. My fan is blowing like the wind again! Hope this helps!
