Default Heatwrap ?

Has anyone tried using heatwrap on exhaust pipe to reduce heat coupling onto the front driveshaft? Thoughts?

heatwrap example: SunplusTrade 2" x 50' Black Exhaust Heat Wrap Roll for Motorcycle Fiberglass Heat Shield Tape with Stainless Ties https://a.co/d/j1doBTs

Yes got tired of burning myself and wanted to protect the drive shaft. Used the design engineering wrap and their CAT covers. Worked great and looks nice. I do have to check the stainless ties from time to time they get old and break.

I got two of these:

Design Engineering 011003 Universal Catalytic Converter Heat Shield Design Engineering 011003 Universal Catalytic Converter Heat Shield

And attached them to the cats. They stand off the surface about an inch and dramatically reduce the radiated heat.

Nice, I am been using the aluminum duct work pieces from Home Depot, but your solution is better @TimInNova

@TimInNova Read your review on AMZN... if you're still concerned about the fasteners working free, Rocksett threadlocker would be an excellent solution.

Here is another option. These are just fastened using stainless zip ties. No issues with loosening for a few years now.

I like DEI wrap. If you wet it before wrapping, it stretches a bit and gets nice and snug when dried out.

XRAD, there are these tabs that the bolt goes through, then the metal strap (red circled items).
