That's really unfortunate. Is there any other symptoms she can describe? Any noises, vibrations, etc?

she gave me some more info.. i know they invented the language but its completely different to ours...

"The prop shaft broke last year and took out the sump! So I know how bad that gets! The f*ckin thing is a money pit!"

so i guess her drive shaft was replaced last year.. what is she talking about a sump? I dunno. im gonna call her tomorrow and try and get it sorted. proper. as they would say.

by sump i'm guessing she means the transmission pan. I wonder how much that chunnel towing bill cost. Do tow trucks still charge by the mile when they're riding on a train? heh

A "sump" is anything that holds fluid.
A oil pan is a sump, a transmission pan is a sump.
Her front propshaft broke again and took out her transmission, the smoke is the trans fluid hitting the hot exhaust, it wont move because she has to transmission.
She will have it up for sale in less than a week.

ok so i got some more info

she was doing about 70mph up a hill when she lost power, tons of blue smoke out the back end black oil all over the ground and up the lower part of the doors. She hit the gas a few times and it seemed to Rev normal no odd sounds, no power to any wheel. not even a jerky movement.

she is going to email me some pics of the undercarriage.

Have her ship it over here, put it in storage, replace the trans when you have time and in 2029 pull it out of storage and you will have a low miles '04 Disco with a diesel.
