Dude, I’ve moved on!!! Please post in LR3 or newer for my attention... jk

there are so many D2 masters, I’m not needed anymore. Especially on this topic. Weld a box under the driver floorboard with a sliding door.

and thank fir tagging me. Happy to see I’m still relevant. Haha

I'm in GA and it doesn't have to be for a gun - no felonies...

FWIW - I remember finding this tidbit while watching Live PD one night.
I see so much questionable BS on that show. While I 100% appreciate cops and the jobs they do, they to tend to bend rules a bit.
Or some might say, a lot with the use of a dog. Most of the time, it'll never be an issue for us regular folks, but there is still the moral and legal dilemma of the cops misusing or misapplying their power.

https://www.arnoldsmithlaw.com/what-...drug-dogs.html

Rodriguez v. United States: Unless police have “reasonable suspicion” of a crime, it is an unconstitutional seizure for them to extend a legal traffic stop in order to conduct a dog sniff. Dog sniffs at a traffic stop are considered “searches” within the Fourth Amendment that require probable cause, and police cannot use a drug dog to obtain that probable cause unless they already have reasonable suspicion. Police authority for holding up your vehicle ends once their tasks tied to the traffic violation (i.e., writing your ticket) are or reasonably should have been finished.

On Live PD, they use the dog ALL OF THE TIME to create probable cause.

Watching these fools gave me an idea. They found all the places in the truck including under the passenger seat. They looked under the hood and in the fuse box as well as pulling off my spare cover. They did not look under the truck. So the shelf where the air pump usually sits seems like a good place to mount a box that can be sealed. If you have to carry a firearm or even large amounts of cash, it might be a good option. If you are carrying party favors from Colorado, just fill the box with coffee before you seal it.
Lift up your black plastic gear shift bezel. Some room down there.
Lift up your HighLow leather cover. Feel.
Hollow out your HomeLink rearview mirror. Ditch the electronics. You just need a cover and a flat mirror there. Leaves some room inside.
Put a zipper on the side of your headrest around the stitching. Lots of room inside. Even more room in the drop down head rests for the rear 2 foldable seats if you have the 7 seat D2.
Take the MAF side air tube off from the air filter box. Install an inline cone filter there if you must (better if none). Now since air isn't flowing through you filter box you've got a ton of hidden room.
