Default High/low beam lights

my disco2 does not turn the high beams on when the lights are off. But with the low beams on it changes to hi/low!
Is this the relay? Does anyone knows what’s the relay number please?
Or is this normal?

Thanks in advance

Not sure I understand the simple question. Are you talking about flashing the highs by pulling the switch toward you, as though you were passing someone? They should work regardless of the position of the headlight switch. The only relay that you may have is for the daytime running lights, but it has nothing to do with the issue (I think) you describe.

They won't momentarily flash or stay on by pulling the stalk back?

Sounds like an issue with the switch as mine works as advertised.

Yes, that’s it, they don’t flash! I will try disassemble the switch.
Thanks

If the high beams come on when the headlights are turned on, I doubt that it is the switch.
Perhaps in your area this is the correct behaviour?

I have just checked with another TD5 and the high beam should flash when pushing toward...

Any ideas?!
