Hitting brakes while starting
I noticed if for some reason you have your foot on the brake while starting your disco sometimes you get the 3 amigos
when you start your truck you hear the I'm guessing the shutter valves but if your foot is on the brakes it interrupts that process.
Just thought I would share this

I've hardly ever started a vehicle without putting my foot on the brakes. Maybe a hand full of times from outside the vehicle, but I can't think of a single time from inside the vehicle.
Really interesting info. Is be curious to see if that's unique to your truck or common among others.

Same as Alex, by force of habit I always have my foot on the brake when starting any vehicle. It's a safety precaution in case it's in gear or if the shift interlock has malfunctioned.
Never had the 3 Amigos appear on either of my D2s, with any of the three SLABS units I have used in them.
