Default How to remove air vents

Hi
Anybody removed the air vents on the dash board.
Don't want to force it out and break any plastic.
Assume there must be some sort of plastic locking tabs that hold them in place.
The drivers side near the door is not blowing air,and the flimsy switch is broke,so need to remove and fix.
Thanks.

I just did this on my D2, they just pull out, you may want to use a small screwdriver, but they come out pretty easy, you can reach in with something and open the vent flap....

There are little metal tabs melted into the plastic, be prepared with some gorilla glue cause they pop off pretty easily. My passenger side vent nearest the door keeps coming loose but not from the tabs. There is a square plastic piece with foam that I am not sure I am installing correctly.

Thanks for the info.
Managed to remove them without breaking any of the tabs, the pin that the gear/rod sits on was half snapped, fixed with some plastic and super glue.
Not sure about the square part, mine had no foam on it,I just slid it onto the back of the dash part and pushed the vent back on,not sure if it was the right way round, but air is blowing out the vent
