Default I cant drive my rover any more

The day after I bought my Discovery II, the service engine soon light came on. There is no one to work on it in my area. It won't hardly start, takes a long time to warm up. Now when I try to drive it, when I give gas it cuts out. God forbid I should try to drive up a hill. I'm going so slow I could get out and walk. I tried Auto Zone, they think it's the O2 sensers, I'd hate to replace something I don't need to. Besides I don't know where to locate them on my Rover. Please, can someone help me?
