I got a P1551 and P1514 so I checked all the IACV connections. I noticed the connection to the intake was quite loose and easily disconnected. Is it supposed to look like this? Shouldn’t the metallic coupling be somehow attached to the intake so the vacuum hose can then be secured to it?
I’d remove the metal pipe from the rubber hose & using a rubber mallet see if you can get it to go back into place. If not you may have to drill a small hole from the top & add a set screw to hold it into place or find another upper intake manifold.
I tried Best4x4’s idea and it worked. I did spray a bit of high-tack on the 1/2 of the brass fitting that goes into the intake. The other half I put a light coat of Vasoline to help the vacuum hose slip on/off. So far so good!
