same here. they don't make much of plus without a cam upgrade, but plenty of testimonials with.

I honestly couldn't tell you. I'm not even sure what the difference is. Are they just supposed to stay lubed better or are they even more performance oriented also?

They do absolutely wonderfully, after using them I wouldn't have used anything else looking back, very pleased with my decision.

As for the cam... Yea. I *really* wish I had gotten a more aggressive cam. An H214 or maybe even the H224. I've got a spare 4.6 I need to rebuild anyway, I just might be tempted to throw one of those in it. I probably won't do anything to it until I tear into it to make sure the block isn't warped or hasn't slipped its sleeves.

That super lube version just has a linear groove.
Now that you mention the other cams....
I was unsure on low end loss with the others..they all say emphasis on mid or upper + hp, does that mean at sacrifice of low end or just not improving it. Thoughts?
I threw that ? At them and the say 229 is most popular for a reason

Valves!
Oversize? Worth it, Alex?

Rocker arms.... Stick with the old or use new roller ones?
Tuning? Megasquirt ?

Let's be honest Dusty, in our trucks low to mid range power is really where it's at. We need that grunt to get off the line or to dig our way out of a tough spot on the trail.

Don't know crap about valve sizing on these there has to be a performance forum for these damn motors somewhere we just need to find it lol.

I'm a fan of roller rockers don't know that there would be any real gain in this situation with them though.

I'm not sure about the low end on those cams. I would assume you will probably lose a little bit. I think the 214 says the power band is between 2k and 5k rpm, but im sure they could tell you more if you call them. They have a phone number on their website. http://www.kentcams.com

Bigger valves will increase horsepower, but you may lose some torque there too. I'm sure there is a sweet spot for your specific application, I just don't know where it would be. I didn't have mine oversized when I got my valves done.

motec m84 will solve the tunning or megasquirt. still need to make a wiring harness though.

Looking into it and really doesn't seem necessary to advances.
Would have to go wild with cam, but any tuning (if needed) can be done specialist and stick with injection system that's in place

what goes in.......
janspeed seems to be the p&p header solution. hedman is doable but fitted for rhd an may need y pipe bending and bungs.
sounding right?
problem is..... who sells these janspeed set ups? I don't even see them on there site. rpi is said to be a vendor, but not seeing it.
but I am a bit curious about noise. these things are already loud under hood. how much worse does it get? I have never put headers on a truck that I normally drive on road, as much as this one. I can silence, but would wrapping calm the under bonnet noise? I don't want to sound like I am trying to be a hot rod... it takes away from the 24" spinning dub things.
