Question If it is not leaking....Its not a Rover<?>

03 Disco SE7 with 139K
Recently changed head cover gasket and plenum and no oil leak for a week....so I thought.

So took it to a reputable shop and advised that my rear main seal is bad.
$1200 later its back on the road with a new rear main seal and gasket kit.

A week later - there is still oil leak coming from somewhere in between the engine and firewall near the coil packs. Took it back to the same shop and advised me that there is a valve behind my engine that needs replacing. Ask what valve it is and could not tell me so I pull it out the shop. WTF?

Oh - it did not stop there - BANK 2 Sensor 1 fault code came up after that so I changed both 02 sensor (pre cat). Drove it around for 20 miles with no code until the following morning. It is throwing misfire on cylinder 4.

Just bought two new coil packs and set of wires and plugs. I just don't see how to access the coil packs without removing the intake manifold.
Any ideas?

Jafir is right. The rear main seals RARELY leak. If your leak is not coming from the center of the block, but rather at each side of the oil pan, it's your "crucifix" seals. If that's the case, I'd make that shop change those and eat the labor, because they SHOULD have changed those when they changed the rear main, even if replacing the rear main was in fact, unnecessary.

As for British cars leaking oil...in the UK, they don't pave roads, they "just scatter gravel across the oily discharge from the passing motors..."
