So it is. I should probably be more than half awake when I post, huh?

Well, if anyone is looking for an inexpensive FRONT hub assy...

Just thought I'd bump this thread with an update.

I got almost 3 years out of this bearing before it began to leak from the bearing seal, but there's a chance that's my fault for improperly torquing the bearing (I fell way short of 300ft.lb.). So I give this one 3 stars.

Now, that said, I found another rear replacement on Amazon, for $37 a piece, with free shipping.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01HTYZJDC

Same as before, I'll report back on quality, etc. But even if I have to replace this thing yearly, $37 is a smoking deal for a budget replacement.

I paid around $100 for a front assembly on eBay. Installed fine and worked great for 4 years until I sold the truck. Haven't heard anything from the new owner. We keep in touch.

I just ordered a new Rear Hub Assembly from BP Utah at $189 shipped to Pa. I saw AB and RN's prices and decided to spare myself the pain and separation anxiety that comes with carving out a kidney to fund this purchase.

Their "aftermarket" Hub Assembly is complete w/ new ABS sensor & O-ring.

Hub Assembly part TAY100050

D*mn, that's a hell of a price. I've been buying the $87 dollar ones on eBay to replace my last three. They've held up for as long as they've been on. The most recent I got warranty replaced immediately after putting on. No hassle whatsoever, and they paid shipping both ways.

I may pick up one of these cheapos just to keep around even though I don't daily mine anymore.

That's a giveaway snip price even for aftermarket goods. Ribble Valley are a long established LR parts stockist with a good history to protect so they wouldn't sell rubbish.

Here's some of the real prices in GBP. Note the LR price !!!

Hmmm, rather go with the Ribble Valley kit. You don't know where the Amazon hub originates from. For $37 it must be from somewhere cheapo. The LR part is 10x that price but admittedly LR know how to overcharge customers for parts

Even if it's made of the finest Chinesium, it takes all of 45 minutes to replace the rear hub assy, so I'll run with it.

Anywho, I got around to installing it this weekend, and took a couple of photos.

The quality seems ok, and it didn't fail on a 150 mile trip this weekend. The only gripe I have is that the ABS sensor plug was extremely snug when I plugged it in to the factory connector. The sensor checked out when I checked it with my Hawkeye, but your mileage may vary with the tightness. Worst case, if you have too difficult a time with the new sensor plug, and if your old sensor isn't faulty, you can probably swap it into this new hub.

Updates to follow.
