Default Insturment cluster and button backlights not working

None of the instrument cluster‘s or buttons around the radio or air-conditioning panel back lights are working. Checked all the fuses and they are good. I’ll headlights brake lights and tail lights are working correctly. Basically can’t see how fast I’m going at night and how much fuel is left!

trying to see where else to investigate, maybe the rio stat, headlight switch/stalk etc.?

Maybe a problem with the dimmer switch?

Do your highbeams, turn signals, hazards, traction control and/or E-brake light illuminate on the instrument cluster?
If not, yell out loud "Boy... I'm glad I haven't gotten the 3 amigos in awhile!" and then the 3 amigos will appear to test your instrument cluster. lol

Not sure if this is true on the DII but on a DI if you lose the lights on the cluster that suggests you have a problem with tail and brake lights. Could be blown bulbs, shorted sockets and/or wiring.
