My fuse #12 kept blowing on a regular basis, causing the interior lights blink, rear wiper and defroster to act funny, wouldn't shift to low range(t-case selonoid) all run through multi-function. I traced mine down to the factory cd changer under the passenger seat(run off fuse 12 also). Unplugged the two connectors going in the back of it, haven't blown a fuse since. Being I got an aftermarket radio/cd, dont need the changer anyway.

wow thats like all the problems I'm dealing with. the rear wiper comes on for no reason, so does the defroster, my solenoid stopped working a while back so I removed it. what about the cruise control, does it run through there too? do you know where I can find a replacement without paying a fortune?

hey I found a diagnostic procedure in the RAVE manual for the mfu. I guess it just runs through all the things it controls to see if they are working.

I feel like a douchbag, I wanted to work on my rover today but its been raining off and on so I thought I would look into my ABS problem. The po took the fuse out cause it was acting up, so I put it back in and while I was there I figured I would give a good look at all the fuses and I have 2 blown, guess witch 2 , #12 and the rear wiper fuse. replaced it and lights are fine. the manual says whenever an electrical system messes up always check fuses 12 and 13 along with the systems fuse. I don't know why I didn't check it like you said. I had looked over the fuses before and thought they were all fine . I must have missed them. Let this be a lesson to everyone.

Glad to hear you got it figured out, and thank you for posting what the fix was.

I just hope that the fuses are just bad from the po being an idiot and not ever replacing them, and not cause there is something constantly burning them up. I'll have to wait and see.
