Wow, my dumb quote kinda got taken out of text. What I was implying was if you have 1,100$ for a bad a$$ ARB bumper, go buy it. If you want to save some doe, do what RMT did. I dont understand why so many people criticize when DIY'ers come up with something. Those welds aren't going to break pulling that disco out...Come on people.

Dude, I was actually in your corner, but if you are getting butt hurt over people's opinion, get off the forum. Opinions are all you are going to get. If you were expecting a bunch of clones to congratulate you, you are in the wrong place.

Oh yeah, I have a slipped liner, can you plug weld my block for me?

You have to back arguments with fact. Or your argument is an opinion, and you cant argue your opinion.

And that bumper went up in price!
A whopping 10 bucks.

Who said I'm getting butthurt? I said you cant use opinion to argue, because you cant back up opinion with facts. Opinions are not all you are going to get. I post plenty of facts that are backed up by science and real life experience. No I don't want anyone to congratulate me, all I did was show a 270 dollar bumper and how I mounted it, and it turned into "your going to kill someone".

And yeah I could weld up your liner for you.

(I don't get it, are you trying to look cool? or be facetious? Your post didn't make a single valid point.)

Ok, lets talk facts. Please post data/facts showing that two 2x2x3/16" pieces of angle iron will withstand all forces of recovery including side-pulls and kinetic strap use.
Lifting the front of your 4500# vehicle off the ground comes nowhere close to replicating the forces at work in recovery situations.
Good on you for finding a bumper and making it work. Now take some constructive criticism and beef up those mounts
And you can sit there and say you're not butthurt all you want, but your posts read otherwise.

Thought I would end my post with something positive, I like the plug weld. And maybe you aren't butt hurt, but if I keep taking my opinions and doing as you suggest, I will literally be butt hurt.

Why do something that might make sense when you can use angle iron?
Besides, he already sold the trucks and the "****" bumper to some schlepp.
