Just bought a Discovery II with some ODBII issues... am I screwed?
check out this link, 2000 Discovery ii Drive Cycle info needed - General Discussion Forum - NCLR - Northern California Land Rover Club, for Discovery Drive Cycles. it can speed up the process for turning the monitors back on.
PO disconnected the battery probably. I get the same result, when I disconnect the battery for some reason. It needs different drive cycles before all tests have completed, it can take days sometimes. The workshop manual lists the drive cycles required to complete the tests. You can force it when you can't wait for completion with your normal driving. As longs as you don't get codes, there is no reason to worry.
