Default keys locked in! plz help

hi, I locked my keys inside my 04 LR Discovery, call a pro to open it, he managed to lift the lock pin in the door, but door wouldn't open.
Then, he somehow put a straight metal stick to reach the unlock switch in dash and pressed it, but still no luck.
Why the doors would unlock?
dealer tells me a one week wait

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
thanks

How did you lock your keys inside? Are they on the seat or in the ignition?
You cant lock the doors without a key or the remote.

1-You can write down your VIN# and go to the dealer and they can make you a new key using the VIN#.

2-You can break a window.

If you closed the door on the remote and it is pressing on the lock button then the truck probabaly went into "super lock", that is when the doors are deadbolted shut and you will never get it open without a key or breaking a window.

The wonders of modern cars.
Not as bad though as the ones where you can actually lock yourself in.

I vote for breaking a window. It'll by far be the fastest solution and will likely be the least expensive as well.

If you have the key open your truck and then worry about your dead battery. The key will open the door!

Spare key ?

This is one of the reasons its ALWAYS a good idea to get a spare key / cut / made / programmed / bought for ANY car. Will always work out cheaper than breaking a window, and a LOT less messy!!!.

Default Already open

Ok, let me explain, the door does not work for key, it was damaged weeks ago and i just openend with remote control, once the battery died there was not any way to open it with the key so i used a large screw, open the hood, power the dead battery and unlock the truck with the remote control, that´s it, i really do not know if i was lucky but right now there is a new battery and door lock fixed.
I also do not understand why the truck comes with just one lock on driver door, it looks like a trap for the owner.
Thanks all for the support.
Raul...
