the forums need to nominate the OP as member of the decade. just picked up a set of these van racks at pep boys. i also have a smittybilt roof rack for a jeep jk sitting in my yard for 2 years. now its gonna be McGuyver mode as soon as my turd comes back from the shop!
Hello, replying to Sub-Arctic Rover: Now that I think back, I actually used the stock bolts it came with for the first year but after a winter of rain and snow they were pretty rusty. Thats why I upgraded to a stainless steel bolt that was a bit thicker.
Also someone had asked about the basket in front of the tent. That was a cheapo eBay purchase that costs me around $100. It was awesome. I ended chopping it up and creating a new flat rack that I still use today.

Started working on operation "I'd rather spend $1200 on repairs than a roof rack" this evening. Got a little ahead of myself with painting a bracket even though I know I shouldve waited.

hi, i have found the junk yard to be a great resource for ladder racks, all i needed were the brackets so that i could modify the racks i bought at lowes
By the way, what's the type of basket that you used up front??
Wanting to know if anyone would be willing to make 3 bars and ship them. I am willing to pay if that is needed. I just dont understand how to make the cross bars for the back. my roof rack goes across the whole roof and I am seriously confused as to what roof cross bars to buy for Year:2003 Model: Land Rover Discovery Trim: S
