Does engine turn over at all? If not, you are immobilized. With other problems you report, might be a bad battery and or a problem with the BCU (body control unit). You also have a fuse box under hood, and it has large bolt down fuse links that can be checked with a meter. The BCU drives the starter relay directly, and controls lots of other parts. Muliple fuses are involved.
Likewise, mine would just cut out. Switch the engine off and back on and nothing. I thought it was a major fuse to start with but it turned out to be a bad connection from the main neg battery cable. Some vigorous wiggling got it running again until I could change the cable.
Having a problem with starting my Disco ii... after driving all week i parked at the house yesterday and this morning it will not turn over. It sounds as if it is trying to crank over but nothing happens. Almost sounds as if fuel is out however ther eis more than hlaf a tank... HELP!
