Angry LandRover Series II

I just replaced the master cylinder thinking that was my problem with my brake's I have none bled all 4 side's still no brake's it say's to use dot 4 brake
fluid I put 3 you think that would make a difference?

You better flush out that DOT3 with 2 quarts of DOT 4 and did you bleed the master cylinder before you installed it?

Why did you put in DOT 3 if you knew that it ask for DOT 4. I would change it if I were you. Land Rovers are very picky when it comes to fluid types.

Even with the wrong fluid shouldn't you have SOME brakes? Ofcourse, if it wasn't bench bled before installation... it's not going to work anyway.

How do you bleed a new master cylinder first time i've heard that one anyway I do have
fluid coming out all for bleeder's on the the wheel's and still no brake's at all how do you
explain that?

when you pump the brake petal 8-10 times all the way to the floor do you feel any pressure building up?

So quit screwing around, bleed the master cylinder then do a full 2 quart DOT 4 bleed and see how they feel.
