Either is a good tire that handles well off the road and will give you a good 40,000 miles of wear.
Both of them really need regearing if you plan on some hard playing.
Yes and to answer your question, yes, I run 265's on a OME lift.

Mike I did take your advice and bought the Treadwright 265 75 16 but am just over thinking the 285 I believe.

Hey guys. So i just picked up a disco and im planning on doing either the terrafirma or OME 3" lift. I have a set of 285/75/16 sittin at the house from my old truck that i was planning on using for the rover but now im thinking about the 265/75/16 that your talking about. I know how a truck reacts when the larger tires are thrown on as far as power goes but im curious to know if you can tell a big difference between those two tire sizes? Thanks!
