Just to add to the thread - I have a 2 inch lift with 33 inch tires, new coils, shocks and shock towers. I drive 50 miles a day highway back and forth to work. No issues and it is a comfortable ride.

My 03 D2 is lifted 3" and on 265/75/16 E load rating tires.

Was my daily for the last 2 years, recently picked up a new vehicle for a daily (when I need one).

The D2 rides great, doesn't fit in many parking garages but I also have a rack on it and usually a cargo box on the rack. So I'm rarely looking for covered parking.

I did do longer lines, updated front drive shaft, CDL.... Have pulled up step hills at 70mph with four people, big dog, bikes on the back, and weeks worth of camping gear on the roof. I'm not the fastest vehicle nor the slowest with stock gearing. And this is one of those hills on I90 steep n long enough that says turn off your AC to avoid overheating at the bottom.

Gonna replace the center diff soon and kinda toying with a 1.3 one but will likely stay with 1.2 and put the money towards a beefier unit.

Thanks for all of the great information. I think I'm going to wait until I need new tires and then do a 2' lift and switch to 16' rims.
