Carefully blow it out with compressed air. Mine was filled with crud and is much quieter since I cleaned it. I've never pulled it out to see if it can be lubed.

I brushed mine off, had a little lint on it. Didn't seem to make any difference in the noise. I will try blowing it out with compressed air to see if that helps. On the other hand, you can just turn up the radio until you can't hear it any more...........I would be leary of disconnecting it, you may overheat the computers/circuit boards. Phil

i couldnt tell where the noise was comming from so i stuck my hand up there to see if there were any wires, fuses, relays etc that might be lose causing the buzz (sounded electrical like a transformer box buzz rather then mechanical) then BAM something hit my finger, the noise stopped, and I almost wet my pants haha. Wasn't expecting that lol...oh my just stuck my hand in some wierd blowermotor! Looked in the vent and was like hmm, theres a lil tiny fan there!

Mine quieted down after I took it and cleaned all the dust/crud off of it...a little fiddly to remove, but not too bad...they get crudded up pretty easily...
