After looking online, I found the answer to my question: The Nanocom will disable the Superlock feature of the Discovery II. I snuck away from work for a few minutes and disabled the superlock feature, but the door still will not open.

At this point, I am down to seeing from Extinct if there's a way to destroy the actuator that's installed and get the door open.

Or, I *think* remove the rear seat and door trim and cut through the lip covering the door striker plate and use a bare hacksaw blade to cut through both ends of the striker plate (hoop). I've seen photos of this done on another LR model.

Or, seeing if anyone has another option to consider.

You actually should be able to lock and unlock using the nanocom, is in the BCU section under diagnostics. You should be able to hear it do each function separately. Lock-superlock-unlock. Start with unlock to see if you can get the door open. Also, now that I am thinking about it, if you look at the wiring diagram, it should be possible to jumper the wires to get it to unlock. I don't remember the pinout details but if you put 12v in the right wires it will unlock. That is how I bench test mine.

I as finally able to get to the Land Rover and with the Nanocom, I unlocked all the doors probably 15 cycles. Still wont open.

Extinct, if you get me some pics of the actuator and how to take it apart and get the mechanism to open, please do. I can try the jumper wire, but I don't have a schematic - do you have one, or tell me what pins I need to jump?

Other wise, I am down to trying to saw the striker plate hoop with a bare hacksaw blade.

Thank you!!

If I can't get it open via the instructions in the video, what would you suggest I do/try next?

You likely will need some curved tools (picks) to reach it. I generally find trying repairs gives me ideas for next steps.
