Default Love my new Rover, broke the locks

I got my 03 Disco last week, totally happy, got it home and locked the truck with the key fob and I think shorted out the drivers side front and back doors. I can still manually lock and unlock each door. I wanted to know what the quickest fix would be for me to try first and then what I should do if that does not work. Thank you for any assistance.

Battery is still good, as it is still locking and unlocking, the only issue is that when it locks nothing happens to the doors on the drivers side,

That happened to my Disco. If you dont hear any noise from when you press the button on the remote, then your actuators are shot. You need to replace them. They are a little pricey, but look around for used ones. I got my driver's door one for $50. They are somewhat of a PITA to install. Good luck.

if it is all 4 doors the battery in your fob is dead. if its just one to three doors i would say the actuators are dead. try calling will tillery at roverguy.com and see if you can get some used ones. download the RAVE manual from landroverresource.com so you can figure out how to do the work yourself.

my passenger side door did not lock but would unlock, I thought maybe the actuater was bad but the linkage was so stiff the actuater couldn't push it lubed it up and its worked fine since.
