m and s lights have been fixed whoo hoo
so after 12 months of being jacked around by people who are supposed to know and have taken my money and not fixing anything I was put onto rovertech in perth w australia . They plugged in my disco and tolod me what they thought the issue was and told me the best thing to ring a guy called mark from autosolve who they use . He came out a week later to my house and spent 3 hrs working on it . in the end he fixed , unfixed , checked and finally replaced the yellow wire from engine to trans . and has told me it will not happen again . so if anyone reading this is in perth , these guys know there **** . and rovertech took no money from me . To all the other people who have looked at my car , i hope your bookings dry up . and thanks to bruce davis from davis performanse in sydney I think , who offered his time and his cost of phone calls to help me again at no charge . < it was he who told me to call rovertech > so thank again and again

Than would be the CAN bus between ECU and tranny ECU, the low side of it. All the computers have to talk nice to each other all the time or they get lonely and pout. Without a Rover-specific tester, a DIY would take a long time to find this, have to do continuity and ground test on each cable, and shake them while doing it. Color by color. But now we know to start with the bus conductors. Thanks!
