Default Major oil leak from front top of engine while running.

Hello all. I have been the proud owner of an 04 disco (120K, 4.6 V8) for almost a week and I'm looking for some guidance in chasing down an oil leak. When running there is oil leaking from somewhere on the front of the engine at the rate of about 40 drops per minute. i can see evidence of the leak up to the valley under the A/C compressor. I have only gotten as far into it as to pull the fan shroud, going further this weekend. My first thought is it's the valve covers, but that a guess. any guidance would be appreciated.

I am also having a PS issue. Ill write it in a separate thread but mentioning it in case it matters for this issue,

If you position the A/C compressor out of the way you will get a good look. Sounds like wither the valve cover or valley pan gaskets.

Have the head gaskets been done?

I dont believe so but i can verify with the previous owner. However the leak appears to originate a bit higher up than that.

I can 100% guarantee you the cause of your leak is a plugged valve cover breather baffle. Oil can not leak from the top of an engine unless there is pressurization the crankcase and the only way for there to be pressurization for that baffle be plugged. Do a search on pcv valve on the forums and you will find the solution to your oil leak. Please forgive the grammar as this was done on a mobile device
