Misfire in cyl 6. Still have good spark
back again. I have had a misfire in cylinder 6 and replaced plugs and wires. I used a spark tester and have a good spark. Any ideas? From a older thread I also have a overheating issue and replaced thermostat and from what I could tell I have gotten all the air out of the system but havent driven it to see if it still over heats still. Just working on the misfire first.
Don't laugh at this..
In the morning when the engine is cold -
Crank the engine and if it catches and starts, turn it off.
Remove the plug.
Smell it.
and if you dare - try to lick it if wet.
Tastes like antifreeze?
Probably bad head gasket.
If the plug is dry-
Replace the plug..
also
your coil pack may be defective.
Replace the coil pack.
also -
valve may be sticking
#6 is in the middle - so could be a coil pack or
valve sticking.
Doubt if antifreeze is in there.
