5th? Your Disco only has 4 speeds if it is an automatic. There is a torque converter lock up solenoid that lowers the RPMS in 4th gear when certain criteria are met...

Thanks for the reply... It is an auto. I moved the thread to another post but maybe that is what I am experiencing. It is very premature, goes into the lower rpms at 37mph and really kind of bogs.
