My drivers side window will not move. Press the button: click, click. So on the average, would it be window motor, or switch? While on a similar note, how about seat motors? Switch or motor? Which one is the likely culprit without bench testing?

 

If you are clicking it’s the motor or the regulator is super twisted up. Moneys on the motor though.

 

Motors rarely fail on the windows, regulator wheels is the common problem. You can buy 3d printed replacements - do a search. The seat motors have internal thermal fuses that open when overloaded, and can permanently fail open. Usual cause is small debris in the tracks. I have disassemlbed them and soldered solid with success, but it is not easy. Switches are also know failure points on the seats. Recommend trying the switch swap first, if you need to get at the motors it is easiest to just remove the seats, only 4 bolts hold them in and the motors are much easier to get at with it unbolted.

I’d have to disagree with the guy that said the motors aren’t a common failure. I’ve had motors fail, regulators fail and regulator rollers fail.

If you are hearing a click when to try and roll down the window and there is ZERO movement of the window glass it’s your motor. Even with the near worst regulator or regulator roller failure the glass will move, it may be lads than 1/4 inch but you will know something is moving around in there.
