my 03 disco is shuts off when I come to a stop
Guessing the last four ( 305, 303, 306, 307) are misfires. The P0171 im guessing those are all "A misfire has been detected" code. The others got me kinda stumped
OK....to the OP. I generally dont like doing this but due to the extenuating circumstances presented to us, follow these steps to the letter
1. Clear ALL the codes. If nothing comes back move onto step 2. If codes do come back, record then then report back.
2. Take a 15 mile test drive. Stop at mile marker 7.5 and shut the truck down for 2-5 minutes. then drive the remainder. Go home, have a beer, and check for codes again. Then report back.

1. You are gonna need to download the rave manual if you diagnose and wanna fix this .It will make things a helluva lot easier. I think drowssap has the link for it in his sig. Download it.
2. P0305 - #5 cylinder is mifiring. Pull the plug. and the one right next to it. Take a good look at it, compare them and take pictures and post them so we can see. Makes it much easier that way. Inspect it throughly, check the gap between both. if they are the same, check the porcelain. Look for cracks, broken, etc. if still no dice, swap the plug with its neighbour, clear the codes and run the vehicle. Once the light comes back up, read the code again. If it has moved to the cylinder you swapped it to, you have found your problem. Replace ALL your plugs. If it still hasnt moved, check your ignition wire, and swap it with its counterpart on the other bank. Clear the the codes and run it again. If it still hasnt moved, you may need a new ignition coil.
3. If its comparably cleaner than its neighbour, you have a lot of work cut out for you. You will need a compression test, and test for combustion gases in your coolant. Speaking of which, have you been losing coolant? If you test positve for combustion gases in the coolant and the compression test fails, your gonna need another head gasket.
3. P0134 - thas O2 sensor bank 1 no activity detected. Check the O2 sensor on the scan tool while the engine is running. If you see no activity, check your connector for corrosion, wires for cuts, etc. Pull the sensor and inspect it, make sure its clean. If all that is still ok, unplug it and check for voltage at the o2 sensor with the engine running. If its flatlined, change it.
4. P171 - System too lean bank 1. Most likely, exhaust leak. Look for exhaust leaks BEFORE the cats. Have you had any exhaust work done? Make sure your exhaust manifold is tight against the block.
On the flip side of that, could be an intake leak.
You have your work cut out for you. godspeed and good luck.
