Default My baby has been wrecked. Time to take a bow

Just wanted to thank everyone who has helped me fix my truck over the years. I hope I've helped others along the way.

Yesterday I had a green arrow left turn and another driver in a van nailed my right rear tire. He ran the red light. It was enough force to blow the wheel off, along with the brake and axle with it.

I couldn't get her to shift for the tow truck. I think the tranny maybe done as well. I am assuming she's toast. She was my first car and labor of love. I took great care of her and it is very disappointing. My father gave me this car and he recently passed. It has a special place in my heart. I will be back one day no doubt.

Drive safe out there guys. My accident could have been a lot worse. I could have been hit head on but was able to turn in time. I'll post pics later.

Thanks to all out there who have helped me again.

Man, that's rough. That's one of my biggest fears with mine because I love it so much. Glad you're safe, that's the reason my parents bought me mine at 17.

Did you ever get the ARB mounted?

Sorry to hear it. People that don't work on their own cars don't understand the attachment.

I am sorry to hear about your loss. Had your father given you something else, you might be making a post from a hospital room. Breaking your own stuff on a trail is vastly different from the negligence of someone else.

Sorry to hear. It's certainly unfortunate. I've been there, I lost my '01 back in April. Similar situation someone ran a red light - took me out (wheel off axle and all). Thanks to my ARB I was able to "limp" away (well, to the hospital).

See my signature for all the work I put into it - I loved that damn truck.

Picked up a super clean '04 w/ bad head gaskets. Just got it running last night. Bittersweet!

You'll be back...!
