I bought my D2 with a really cracked and shattered front bumper cover with only one fog light. After a year of searching for a decent replacement I finally found one but was disappointed when I found that the fog lights on my replacement were damaged beyond repair. An OEM replacement cost more than I wanted to spend but I still wanted the lights to be in the stock locations so I decided to fab up some mounts for some LED lights. Here’s what I ended up with:
The top side of the 3D printed mounting “tables” I designed. The under side has a stiffening ridge and two angled tabs that bolt through the front of the bumper. I bent the bottom fog light mount up to level then mounted these posts I machined to them. The plate bolts to the posts and the front of the bumper through the angled tabs. The LED light then mounts to the plate. The view from the front.
