I posted this over in the Mod forum, but I figure this applies to this forum, too:


I had a set of General Grabber AT-2s on my '99 Disco II until last week, when the driver-side rear blew on the interstate at 65 mph and destroyed my rear panel and bumper.

Instead of replacing the panel and bumper with stock parts, I'd like to do a mod that might save me some cash for other projects... any pics, links to other threads, or advice would be greatly appreciated!

(I have received some great info on the Welcome to the official website for Rock Star Fabrications LLC bumper, but more input is always good.)

 

Wow. That's a serious crunch. I just dropped my 03 off a ledge, a couple of weekends ago, and didn't notice until yesterday that I crunched the same spot, but on the right side. Earlier this week I ordered a Greg Davis bumper, so I figure I'll have to cut off some of that anyway. I may still have to straighten it a little.

I have a 7 month-old and a full-time job, so spending time to build my own bumper isn't in the cards right now. Time is more valuable than money right now... no, scratch that... sleep is more valuable than money right now.
