Need help // noise coming from under with video...
I would not buy the lucky8 shaft. Bought one last summer and it failed on my drive from CO to VA for the holidays, it lasted less than 10k miles...if any sort of lift or any heavy loads I would strongly recommend another option. I have a tom woods on my white d2 (almost 30k on it and that truck gets used hard) and another one on the way to replace the lucky8 shaft.

Waiting for it but today I pulled the front shaft just to inspect it...
not even sure how to inspect it lol but seems like the middle bearing is super loose.
My plan is to replace it.
Change all fluid.
But here’sa video.
I did this but I already took the front shaft. I might put it back just to check.
I don't see what year your truck is, but if it has the locking transfer case you can drive it with only one shaft.
If you have the lockable case, you can activate it even if you don't have the correct lever inside the cabin.

The u-joint in the front section of the cardan joint looks froze up. The way you have it laying, when you remove your hand the cardan joint should be dropping under it's own weight, but it looks like it is not. You should be able to move each joint right/left and up/down freely. The discoloration of yoke lobes/ears seems to suggest it might be frozen too.

I'm changing the shaft and all the fluids next week. Hope that fixes it.
