Update!

Shake and noise is gone after installing the new shaft. Drove the car for 10+ miles.

I’ll grease it tomorrow and still change all tee diff and tranny fluids.

Thanks everyone.

Good news, but l wouldn't stop there. Still change axle(s), transfer case and trans fluid. Trans fluid and filter is a somewhat different process than most, so read up on changing before you tackle. Also, you should have a grease zert on the front joint of the rear shaft, grease that also.

wasn't too bad.

I didn't have a 1/2 ratchet and took me 2-3 hours trying to figure out how to take off the transfer case nut to refill the fluid. My breaker bar wasn't cutting it since the exhaust or e-brake line was on the way.

Finally went to buy a 1/2 ratchet.

Also, how many qt does the transmission take? Atlantic British sent me 6 qt of oil but after 2, it started dripping like crazy...

(I also lost my key so I couldn't start it, I got spare that's coming tomorrow)

Your are supposed to fill the tranny with the engine running or you won't be able to get those six quarts in it. You might want to look up the exact procedure.

Yes, should take another 3.5/4 quarts...after starting and running shifter through gears (with foot on brake or parking brake applied). Make sure you are on a level surface.

Thanks Guys... I was able to add total of 5.5 or so.

Maybe it's mental but the truck is so much quieter and drives super smooth.

I'll be ordering rear drive shaft soon.
