Default Need help with tranny codes

Been getting the flashing S&M lights and here are the codes that Auto Zone's machine came up with.

P1871
Definition: Transmission mechanical transfer case 4x4 switch circuit failure

P1873
Definition: Automatic transaxle concerns

P0600
Definition: Loss of serial communication link
Explanation: The ECM did not detect communication between the modules
Probable Cause: 1. Shorted sensor or circuit
2. Open or short circuit condition
3. Failed control module

I've had a voltage test run a few times and each time I've gotten a reading either just below or just above 14.

Can anyone provide some guidance? Thanks!

Both those 1800 codes are not Rover codes. What is your tranny doing? Better take it to a good trranny shop and have then tell you what is wrong, not the dealer.

I now see that they are not LR codes. I'm having the age-old issues that come with the flashing S&M lights. Transmission goes into limp mode. There'sw no ryme or reason as to the frequency. Yesterday I drove 150 miles without it happening. Today, I drove it 3 miles and parked for an hour. When I cranked it up, they came on. The P0600 "probable causes" leads me to think that it is a typical electrical issue.

Along with maybe a low voltage issue. Go get your charging system checked at the local parts store, should be between 13.6 and 14.4 volts.

the 600 is an trans ecu fault. seen a transmission ecu bite the dust intermittently the same way.

it would do it intermittenly and we put a new one in and it solved the problem.

You can get a used trans ecu for like $50 if you shop around alittle.
It is under the drivers seat, 10 min swap.
Worth a shot.
