I’m in the south, TN to be exact and we’ve had massive rain and flooding and I don’t have a completely covered area to be able to work in so no but tomorrow going too bc you may be right bc it does have a oil leak, not massive but any oil leak is crappy I know. But I am going to start w the positive battery cable repair kit and try and clean XYZ Switch as well cause limp mode started happening again Tuesday before I parked it. And work on this brake fluid leak too.

To the one above who suggested the master cylinder reservoir you was right. It’s super rusty etc so just bought a new one online. Kinda tricky they are all listed as master cylinder repair kit or reservoir kit etc but in some pics the long metal cylinder isn’t showing so I made sure to buy one that had entire part w the reservoir and the long metal cylinder. Not sure exactly which part or seal is bad just figured buying whole new one would be best at this point

Make sure you follow the instructions about bleeding the cylinder before you install and the RAVE instructions about seating it in the brake booster!! Having an extra set of hands will make it easier.

My master brake cylinder/reservoir part came in ystrday replacing it right now, but after watching that video on replacing I have a new question...what dot brake fluid to use? That video said dot 4, some can take 3 but don’t use 5, I have been using 3 this whole time. So should I be using dot 4?

Guys can I use this one or no? Seller said that tan is supposedly for 99-02 and black for 03-04 that he has seen both colors on 03 thou but that my trans ECU might require a certain one? I just read and read and saw everyone recommends the tan over the black due to micro sensors vs wipers. Oh btw I have a 03 Disco II HSE7

You should be able to use that -- I remember someone commenting that the tan ones are better than the black ones in terms of durability

Well, it was a "cross over year" so it would make sense.. Probably had leftover tan ones from MY 02, used them all up on the 03's and then switched to black for the rest of the MY 03-04.

do you like the tan better too? Just wondering cause by the way you explained that sounds like you own several Land Rovers
