NGK ILZFR6011 Spark Plugs
Crawl under it, and carefully check the 6 nuts securing the cats to the exhaust manifolds. They can sometimes work loose from vibration and all that is needed is a little lube, and tightening them up (DO NOT GO NUTS with the tightening or you could snap a stud off). The gaskets can fail, studs can break = exhaust tick under load, at a cold start up.
Here is the video.
I'm getting 16-17mph on easy road trips going 55-65mph. Using 8mm Wires and NGK G Power Spark Plugs BKR6EGP.
Not sure how much of it has to do with plugs/wires, all the other maintenance i've done, or the gearing/tires. But I got the MPG on two separate road trips.
I’ve got the NGK Iridium IX plugs (#3764) in Myrtle for the past year with no problems.
It’s known not to adjust the gap on the Iridium plugs because they come pregapped and people can break the thin electrode tip. But I’m glad I did check the gap on my plugs and carefully adjusted them. The NGK plug’s gap measurements straight out the box ranged from .032” to .055”.

I put in NGK Iridiums, cannot find the exact model at the moment, but did have to gap them. There is a video on their website on the tool to use. I was a bit worried, due to the iridium having a tendency to break, but the gapping tool never touched the tip.
I put in new Intermotor coilpacks, Kingsborne 8mm wires and the plugs. They are working great so far.
