No Start after motor swap 4.6
I just got back into the rovers again 99 and 03 D2. I recently pulled a 4.6 out of my 2003 and put a rebuilt 4.6 back in. After completing the engine swap I can't get it to start up. It cranks over but I have no spark. I tested both banks and still get no spark. I checked all the connections on the coil pack. I reused the CKP from the old motor. Could that be the problem? I read in the RAVE that I need to reset the adaptions using a testbook if the CKP or flywheel have been removed, which of course mine were. Please Help. This is my sons rover and needs it for school.

Don't think reset is a must. The CKP is frequently replaced incorrectly, and the spacing is so critical no spark signal is created. The spacers and nuts must go on in exact order, like block+sensor+spacers+nuts. Here's some data on the CKP attached. I believe if it is working right you should be able to see some low rpm on your OBDII scanner when cranking. If the tip was bent or covered with metal fuzz that would also be a problem.
