Default No Start after motor swap 4.6

I just got back into the rovers again 99 and 03 D2. I recently pulled a 4.6 out of my 2003 and put a rebuilt 4.6 back in. After completing the engine swap I can't get it to start up. It cranks over but I have no spark. I tested both banks and still get no spark. I checked all the connections on the coil pack. I reused the CKP from the old motor. Could that be the problem? I read in the RAVE that I need to reset the adaptions using a testbook if the CKP or flywheel have been removed, which of course mine were. Please Help. This is my sons rover and needs it for school.

Don't think reset is a must. The CKP is frequently replaced incorrectly, and the spacing is so critical no spark signal is created. The spacers and nuts must go on in exact order, like block+sensor+spacers+nuts. Here's some data on the CKP attached. I believe if it is working right you should be able to see some low rpm on your OBDII scanner when cranking. If the tip was bent or covered with metal fuzz that would also be a problem.

Two other easier quick checks would be resetting the alarm and the inerita switch, both of which can also cause a no start.

Yep, that inertia switch takes down the main relay (sensors, all fuel injectors) and the fuel pump relay. If OK should hear pump run for like 2 seconds at attempt to start.

Thank you. You were correct. I must have installed the CKP incorrect I had the spacer in the wrong location. I reinstalled the way Savannah stated and now she fired right up. See the link.

Get rid of that orange dexmud coolant, flush and go green 50/50 (PEAK, etc.). 180F stat might be a good idea.

Off topic what brake pad do you recommend? I need to replace the fronts. The rear are genuine Land Rover. I was thinking to get genuine LR for the front to match. Would like to hear from the experts!

Front drive shaft rebuilt or replaced? Many members "rave' about their Akebono pads.
