Default Is this oil leak coming from the valley pan or the front main seal?

I replaced the valley pan gasket last May and was super meticulous about it. So I doubt it's that? Anywhere else it could be coming from? The oil pan gasket needs to be replaced too I believe.

Too dirty to tell. Wash the whole area, thoroughly hose it down, run 'er up and follow the drip.

How about using Humroot's black light idea from a post earlier this week.

After a good clean maybe the black light will show it.

Just my guess. Front crank seal and or oil pan gasket.

my front crank was slangin at 120k. Goood news is you have to do the oil pan if truly doing the crank.

PCV mod done? Front seal is $7.50 and be easily replaced in the truck.

Please start by cleaning first..
Front seal start there also check the oil cooler lines after cleaning.
Last thing would be your valley pan gasket...
That is what has seemed to do it for me :-(
More work than I wanted hahaha

I'm going with front seal, since you can clearly see oil leakage above pan gasket. Oil rarely, if ever, travels upward.

Easy repair, don't even have to remove much...just crank hamonic balancer. Pull rubber access plug from passengers side of bell housing, insert a deep well socket, 17mm, on an extention into flywheel through access hole, you'll need to rotate crank until a access hole in flywheel appears, insert socket, rotate until it binds up...once bound up...then remove crank bolt. Want to say the crank bolt has a 24mm head...and is pretty snug (don't remember the torque off hand). But, you'll need a good breaker bar and eat your Wheaties prior.

Then, just reverse process, for reassembly.

Super! What did you use to seat the new seal?
