OMG... i'm Amazing.. coil packs eat shet
As most of you know... my 03 disco has had a random misfire, for about a week now. I've replaced the plugs 3 times and the wires twice. All that was left was the coil packs. Now everyone said that i had to remove the upper manifold to get to the coil packs... but thats not true...
i remove the air box, the rear most secondary air injection tube and a couple of vacuum fittings as per the how to remove your wires with removing the Intake manifold page
Replace Wires Without Removing IM - Page 3 - Land Rover Forums - Land Rover Enthusiast Forum
then i removed the coil pack mounting bracket and simply rotated the assembly to get to the 3 bolts holding down each coil pack to the bracket. Then i slide each coil pack and the bracket off to the passenger side of the firewall and they came out without a hitch.. took me less that 2 hours to figure it out and do it.
i estimate only 1 hour to reassemble it.
so don't get discouraged people, you can do a lot without removing the manifold.
