Oxygen sensor D2 2003
They both look like the white piece from the sensor connector are stuck in both vehicle harness connectors.
The 6 white posts are the pieces that hold the crimp connectors in the O2 plug I believe.
Grab one of the 6 white plastic pieces with some needle nose and see if they pull out.

x2 ^^^ Correct. Just pull out the white spacers.

This is why I come to this forum.
Grabbed a pair of needle nose this morning, white connector pulled right out, new oxygen sensor slipped right in. Done!
Thank you very much for the explanation and the answer. Saved me a ton of work and trouble.
Cheers!!

Also rule of thumb on Bosch Upstream/Downstream O2 connectors = Orange to Orange & Grey to Grey. Walker & Denso are grey regardless, but I've seen some people do some crazy stuff to O2 sensor wiring harnesses lol.

I tried cheap Rock Auto sensors, and they were dead right out of the box.
......
Cheap sensors were dead right out of the box. The Rover could not even read them. Threw codes for both sensors. Swapped in the Bosch sensors and reset the codes, "service" light is out and no new codes. Interestingly enough, it took a good long drive to get the Rover to "see" the new sensors.
