Default P38 Odometer console to D2

Just curious if the odometer dash board piece that sits just above the odometer could be fit to the D2? Not exactly sure what the piece is called but Ive been thinking about converting part of my D2 dashboard to the P38 design. I know the the D2 odometer dash piece comes right off so what you guys know about this? Im hoping to keep my original odmeter cluster installed, just want a fancy trim around it.

I doubt it will work if for no other reason then the wiring/harness most likely won't match up or allow the BCU to operate the cluster properly.

buy one of those peal and stick trim kits off ebay, they offer like 10 types of wood, carbon fiber and chrome kits.

I've actually considered those kits but they look kinda cheap when installed. I'm just looking to retrofitt afew Range Rover interior dashboard and center console parts to my Disco to give it a updated quality look and feel. I also really like the current D2 Dashboard style, its just that bulky cheap plastic piece above the odomenter that gets me. I'm also looking at my options for updating the center console. I recently realized that the D1 and D2 models have the same center console used on the RR Classic!

its been while since I drove the classic, but I reasonably sure the console in my RRC is different than my discoII

I'm referring to the large tan plastic piece that sits between the front seats. It houses the shifters and window controls.

Well either way I just want to spice up my Disco. Alaska is going good. Was considering moving up here but its to isolated and to far from friends family and culture. I miss the east coast so maybe move to New York State when I get back home in October. Sadly though the commercial seafood industry is not what it used to be, every year it gets slower and people make less money. There's still lots of potential here and I may come back next year to but no moving. I was lucky to get here as early as I did cause I landed a job at the fish meal plant, everybody else (300+ people) are struggling to find work at this processor say nothing about making $$$$. Lots of people here just waiting around everyday in the break room hoping they will get a couple hours in..... I was lucky cause workers at the meal plant get 8+ hours per day regardless of if a lot of fish came in or not. On another note this place is so beautiful and the mountains here are nothing like the ones back in new England. These mountains are much larger, pointy, capped with snow and they are all around us. Avalance warning signs are all over the place here, also lots of tsumai warning signs. I do wish I brought my disco here, its the kind of place where you suddenly appreciate having dual sunroofs and those wierd Windows in the cargo area of the Disco. Zack I think you would love it here, you probably would be spending majority of your day taking pictures of everything!
