Painting wheels black?

Default Painting wheels black?

Best way to paint wheels black? Other then powder coating? Durability?

VHT wheel paint. If painting with tires on use playing cards and wedge around perimeter between tire and wheel.

Hit them with 600 grit first.

Index cards might be better, and cheaper

I have used Plasti-Dip before with surprisingly good results. No peeling across two winters and plenty of snow driving. Figured I could pressure wash it off at some point if I didn't like it. Sold that car before needing new tires, was worried changing tires would peel some up.

On my D2 i had the rims powder coated

My LR3 rims are plasti-dip they have held up well even though I had new tires installed
