Passenger front seat won't go back or forth....
Ok my front passenger seat wont move forward or backwards, it goes up and down and tilts forward and back, any ideas? Driver side works fine. The fuses look fine under the passenger seat. Also, the seat would'nt work at all if is was the fuses, right? I switched the drivers seat switch with the passenger side and the same thing, no front to back movement...hmmm???? Do you think the front to back motor could be blown?, if so, can I change it without taking out the front seat. Thanks!!!
Seat removal not difficult. Note that D1 and D2 seats do not interchange. If motor can't be obtained, remove drive cable and turn with electric drill to comfortable spot and leave it. You can meter volts from the seat switch on red , and the green/yellow. See attached.

I am fairly certain its the motor. I have power to the wiring harness that plugs directly into the motor. I used a test light to make sure the switch worked by toggling it both directions. But when plugged in, the motor doesn't make a peep and the seat doesn't move. The motor seems like the only explanation.
2000 discovery 2 150k. My power seats works but the back and forward motion isnt working. I can hear the motor trying to work for an instant whenever using the controls, but then stops. It seems like it is stuck. I've swapped the control board from passenger side and tried swapping relays. Fuses are all good. The position isnt bad, just an inconvenience. Any ideas? Should I try to manually move the seat and see if the motor becomes unstuck? How do I do that?
