Default Driver seat adjustment motor?

Daughter learning to drive...she ajusted seat way up, then she moved it back and it just died, allowing me just enough space to get behind the wheel. Lumbar, tilt and back and forth all not working.

Fuses and relay seem okay. Swapped them out with passenger seat, which works. But no dice. Hard to get down there to inspect the wiring but didn't see anything obvious.

Which leads me to seat motor. Can this be replaced without taking the seat out? Are there two motors for both lumbar and back and forth? Because neither movement works.

Thought and suggestions - appreciated!

Matt

I would pull the switch and clean the contacts first. They have a tendency to go.

This!
Here is a wiring schematic for the seats...https://landroverforums.com/forum/at...d2-rh-seat.pdf

Here is a great tutorial from @AK Rover of opening up the seat switch and cleaning for a Disco 1 but you can apply it to the Disco 2... https://landroverforums.com/forum/di...-repair-17768/

4 bolts to get the seat out, lots of time something gets stuck in the tracks (coins ) and prevent movements. The seat motors have an internal thermal fuse that can fail permanently open, you can solder across it but not easily.
