It is not the size but the flow volumn that you need to match and or better.

Next on your list should be the front drive shaft, listed on my major service list, if it fails you, it could cost upwards of $3000.

Mike is quite correct about the CFM, the volume of air being moved is much more important than the size or the rpm of the fan. That being said you will have trouble fitting anything larger than a 12 dia. in their so keep that in mind when looking around.

I wish I knew the cfm of the stock fan. Nobody knows it so it's hard to shop for one. I am going to do the severe duty fan clutch today and the Toyota condenser fan motor comes tomorrow. In the meantime no Ac.

You will be fine with the Toyota fan motor, it is the exact same motor so it spins at the same speed as the Rover motor, the difference is the fan blades, which you will be swapping over.
