Default A-Pillar trim

Trying to replace the A-Pillar trim and finding it tougher that it should be. The Atlantic British video makes it look simple: just line it up and snap it into place, but it doesn’t want to work that way. Very frustrating. Has anybody else seen this problem?

any advise/suggestion will be appreciated.

I had to do it twice to get it right. Not easy.

This project takes some serious patience. took me three hours a few years ago. Just take your time. Otherwise you will break the new piece.

Those 3 clips on the window are a pain in the *ss! I've effed up quite a few trying to pull them off of salvage yard Discos.
For some reason the Brits say it is an easy job to remove and replace the windshield A-Pillar cowl though I called BS on it.

Same. I don't have anything helpful to say other than it was a huge PITA on the passenger side for some reason, but not the drivers side. Struggled with it for about 30 minutes and then in some miraculous moment, click, worked. Such hate.

Default Done!

Finally, it's done. Thanks to all for the shared frustration with this little task. Patience was the key, along with a little bit of vocabulary.

I have to say... (too late likely) ... but new clips were my ticket to success. They go on MUCH easier with new clips!
